Welcome to Cherrywood Acres Public School!

Cherrywood Acres was originally built in 1964 with 7 classrooms and a playroom.  By 1965 the school was so full that an addition of 7 more classrooms, a library and playroom was planned.  This addition was finished in 1967 and the school was double the size.  The name originally came from the fact that the property was at one time a cherry orchard.  Now the school backs onto a City of Niagara Falls park with a playground, tennis courts, ball diamond and soccer field.

At present, there are about 250 students attending our school with 30 staff members supporting our students.  We also provide a FULL DAY Early Learning Kindergarten Program(ELKP) and our school accommodates students to Grade 8. Our school has 13 classrooms, a computer lab, library and gym. We partner with A Child's World who provide before and after child care programming for students who who attend our school. To obtain information about their program please email cherrywood@acw.on.ca for further information.

We are pleased to provide an outstanding education for our students. Progressive programs for our students are delivered by our dedicated and professional staff who care about your child.

Our Board is focused on literacy and numeracy achievement and creating an environment where we are working together on our goal of success for every student.

Our school strives to provide programs to address the needs of all our students, and our
students participate in experiences and opportunities that encourage the development of excellence, integrity and respect.

Community Partnerships and parent involvement are crucial to a successful education for our students. We welcome your input and questions as we continually improve our school.
